George Scribner Workshop Two days: June 13th & 14th, 2015 $115.00 for the two days
About: Born and Raised in Panama, George has been with the Walt Disney Company for close to 30 years as an Animator and Director, In 1988 he directed Oliver and Company, an animated feature. He is currently under contract with the Panama Canal Authority to paint large scale oil paintings of the Panama Canal Expansion slated for completion in 2015.
This two day oil painting workshop will use a basic set of supplies and limited palette. This will be a step by step approach from simple drawing tips to mixing a full range of colors with a limited palette. You will determine center of interest, proportions and understand value. You will create color harmony and use color for depth and atmosphere.

Surface will be provided YOU BRING: Your painting supplies: Your Paints (I can supply a recommend List) palette pad for mixing; your brushes; your narrow blue tape or masking tape Towelling, a color wheel if you have one.
Laurie's father brought two paintings of Red Sox players to Boston for the David Ortiz and Dwight Evans signing!!!! Ortiz was painted last year by Laurie's daughter, Audrie. And Evans was done by Laurie 17 years ago as gift to her brother. (just signed this year) Photos below are of them actually signing the original paintings.
